*New* Follow-on Course for AlumniI'm delighted to announce that in 2020 I will be launching a 2-day follow-on course for those of you who have completed the 5-day workshop. I know this is something that people have been asking for!
I have been working with Dr Edwards and Master Instructor Brian Bomeisler over the last few months refining the content and we hope that it will help you consolidate your drawing skills and take them to another level. If you haven't been drawing and things are feeling a bit rusty this would be a great way to get back into it.
This workshop is open to those of you who have completed the 5-day workshop and you will need your portfolio materials. The first one will most likely be in London but I also hope to run them in Scotland.
Dates and location are still to be confirmed but do reply to this email if you would like to register interest (without any commitment).
5 Days - Learn 5 skills that make up 'drawing'Drawing is a global skill that is made up of component skills - each has to be learned and practiced. Global skills are things like learning to read and write or riding a bicycle or driving a car - they can feel difficult and challenging to learn but suddenly you get it and once you have it you have it for life and learning takes the form of practice and refining techniques and media.
Learn the 5 component skills that make up the global skill of drawing in just 5 days...
3. Sighting angles and proportions
4. Light and shadow
5. The gestalt or the essence of the thing this final one isn't a taught skill but arises out of achieving numbers 1-4.
By learning a new skill each day, learning is paced and yet consolidated each day. Classes are limited to a maximum of 12 participants and the course is suitable for beginners as well as those
looking to improve and develop skills. Each person can progress from wherever they are.
Once you have learned the 5 individual skills you will be able to draw and see as an artist sees.
